Volunteers stories
Charlotte Offei – Field Support Worker
My name is Charlotte, and I volunteer as a Field Support Worker with the EOA Foundation. When donations are being delivered, I support the charity in the field, helping whenever I am called upon to ensure support reaches those who need it most.
I volunteer because I believe that compassion should always be turned into action. The work of EOA Foundation speaks directly to my heart; supporting widows, orphans, and vulnerable individuals who are often overlooked or facing life’s hardest challenges. What the charity provides goes far beyond physical donations; it offers dignity, reassurance, and hope at moments when people need it most.
Being present during donation deliveries has been deeply humbling. Standing alongside individuals and families, seeing their resilience, and witnessing the quiet strength it takes to keep going through hardship has left a lasting impression on me. Sometimes it’s the smallest moments; a smile, a thank you, a sense of relief; that remind me just how powerful human connection can be.
Volunteering has given me a new perspective on gratitude and purpose. It has reminded me that meaningful change doesn’t always come from grand gestures, but from simply showing up, caring, and being willing to help when needed.
I continue to volunteer because I believe wholeheartedly in the mission of EOA Foundation and the impact it has on real lives. It is a privilege to be part of this work, and I am proud to offer my time and support whenever I am able.
Naomi Saforo – Field Support Worker
My name is Naomi, and I am a Field Support Worker with EOA Foundation. I began volunteering because I felt a strong desire to give back to my community and to be part of something that truly makes a difference. From the very beginning, I felt that this was exactly where I was meant to be.
In my role, I work closely with individuals in the field, offering practical support, guidance, and reassurance when it’s needed most. What touched me deeply was how welcomed and supported I felt from day one. I wasn’t just a volunteer, I was treated as part of a caring, compassionate family.
Every day reminds me why this work matters. Seeing how even the smallest acts of kindness can change someone’s day, restore hope, or make someone feel seen has been incredibly powerful. This experience has given me a renewed sense of purpose and has allowed me to connect with people who have inspired me in ways I never expected.
I continue to work with EOA Foundation because I truly believe in its mission and the impact it has on real lives. This journey has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my life, and I am grateful to be part of something so positive. I would encourage anyone who is considering volunteering to take that step, it may change your life as much as it changes someone else’s.
